Web design, development & modernisation.

New website? Existing website? Something gone wrong? I build, improve and modernise websites for businesses that want practical solutions without unnecessary complexity.

You don’t always need a new website.

Sometimes you just need someone who knows how to fix the one you’ve got. Most of my work starts with finding out which of the two it is.

// Two ways to buy

Take a lower price, or keep your options open.

Every project has two prices. Pay the standard price and you owe me nothing afterwards. Or take the lower price and commit to twelve months of Website Care alongside it — you save on the build, and I get a customer rather than a transaction. Both are honest deals; neither is the trap.

Three months included as standard

Every new website and modernisation includes three months of Care whichever price you take. It continues afterwards at the monthly rate unless you tell me to stop.

Assessment fees come off the work

The £149 MOT, the £125 rescue investigation and the modernisation audit are all credited in full against the work they lead to. You are not paying twice to find out what is wrong.

No lock-in beyond the twelve months

If you take the committed price, that is a twelve-month Care plan and nothing longer. After that it is monthly, and you can stop whenever you like.

// In practice

Three ways this actually plays out.

Real shapes of work, not hypothetical packages. Note how rarely it starts with “build me a new website” — and where all three end up.

A

An engineering company with a site built in 2011

It works. They don’t want a new website — and they don’t need one.

  1. Free Website Check Free Outdated technology underneath, but a sound site.
  2. Website MOT £149 Turns up end-of-life PHP and a hosting problem.
  3. Modernisation £1,701 £1,850 of work, less the £149 MOT credit. Same site, still theirs.
  4. Website Care £1,071 Business tier, 9 months paid — the first 3 came with the work.
£2,921 in year one
then £1,428 a year

Without ever selling them a £3,000 website.

B

A small local business whose site falls apart on a phone

Here a rebuild genuinely is the right answer.

  1. Website MOT £149 Confirms the redesign is warranted.
  2. New Website £2,351 Business tier at the committed price, less the MOT credit.
  3. Website Care £1,428 The twelve months they committed to for the lower build price.
£3,928 in year one
then £1,428 a year

The lower build price bought a signed year, not a hope.

C

A business whose site is fine — they just want it to do more

This is the quiet one that adds up.

  1. Improvement £550 Online booking added.
  2. Improvement £750 Six months later: “can you also…”
  3. Improvement £450 Then the mobile layout.
  4. Website Care £476 “Can you just look after all this for us?”
£2,226 in year one
then £1,428 a year

Improvements are not an afterthought. They are the bread and butter.

// Not sure?

Not sure what you need?

That’s fine — and it’s the normal starting point. Tell me what you’re trying to achieve, what’s going wrong, or what you’re worried about. I’ll take a look and tell you what I think the sensible option is. If your website is fine, I’ll tell you it’s fine.
